Araceli DTC Colorado is a modern 13-story high-rise apartment community located in the Denver Tech Center in Denver, Colorado. The community offers a mix of luxury living with stunning mountain views. Residents can enjoy a range of amenities, including a rooftop deck, covered garage parking, gas grills and outdoor dining spaces, a fitness center, resort-style pool, conference rooms, and coworking spaces. Each amenity is designed to blend comfort, convenience, and lifestyle in a premier urban setting.
Jordan & Skala Engineers (JSE) provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Low Voltage design services for the community. The project required careful coordination due to site and infrastructure constraints. Existing utility elevations created plumbing challenges that required the use of pumps and strategic routing of piping within limited overhead space. The design team also had to carefully consider the elevation of site utilities while coordinating the structure to maintain adequate clearance for vehicle circulation.
Additional coordination was required with the structural system. Particularly in areas where mechanical ductwork and piping was needed. Our mechanical team designed a hydronic heating system and smoke control systems, including pressurization for stairwells and hoistways and smoke exhaust for corridors. Our electrical team designed a high-rise generator system and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations throughout the site. Integrating electrical vehicle chargers throughout the facility required thoughtful electrical planning and coordination. The plumbing team designed a central hot water system serving both domestic water and space heating needs, with the boiler system designed by Teal and large storm pump systems were installed to manage site elevations and groundwater effectively.
The community delivers a living experience that combines modern design and comfort, providing residents with a lifestyle that balances convenience, luxury, and functionality. Thoughtful engineering and coordinated design solutions throughout the project ensured that every system supports both day-to-day living and long-term performance, creating a robust and welcoming high-rise community.
