Conversion of outdoor Olympic pool into new student athletic center consisting of natatorium, basketball, racquetball, aerobics, weight rooms, classrooms, offices, and locker rooms. This project is the winner of the 2005 “Innovative Architecture & Design” competition by Recreation Management, the “Outstanding Sports Facility” award for 2005 from the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association, the “Gold Award” from Building Design & Construction magazine, the “2005 Public Project less than $50,000,000” and “Overall Winner” awards from Construction Management Association of America, and the “National Award of Excellence” from Design-Build Institute of America.
