USGBC LEED Silver Certified to Jordan & Skala Engineers’ Dallas Office

Jordan and Skala’s Dallas office was recently awarded the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Silver Certification for Commercial Interiors.  The USGBC LEED Silver Certified office, which held an industry open house showcasing its sustainable features, employs sustainable products, low-emitting finishes, energy efficient luminaires, lighting controls, water efficient plumbing fixtures, reused furniture, and reused building materials. And like all Jordan & Skala projects, the Dallas office interior renovation project was completed on schedule and within budget.

Canstruction Competition Participated by Jordan & Skala Engineers for Atlanta Food Banks

Jordan & Skala and Wakefield Beasley & Associates worked together to ‘canstruct’ a giant toilet to “flush out hunger.” In only three hours, 2,306 cans of Vienna Sausages were careful­ly stacked together to create the giant toilet. In total, 3,238 cans were collected, which will all be distributed to food banks throughout the city of Atlanta. Other firms that participat­ed in the CANstruction competition were HKS, Cooper Carry, Niles Bolton, Macgregor Associates and Pond & Company.
